In response to COVID-19 travel restrictions in cities across North America, Zipcar has launched a new “Stay Local” membership plan to help existing members save when taking short, local trips for essential work or needs.
Zipcar’s Stay Local plan offers up to 50% off standard hourly and daily rates, plus a fee for mileage with no change to a member’s monthly membership fee during COVID-19 crisis.
This plan helps members save when they travel short distances compared to Zipcar’s monthly or annual plans, which include 180 miles per day in the cost of booking a Zipcar. While rates vary by city, existing members in the US can now book a Zipcar ranging from $5.00 to $10.50 USD an hour and from $30.00 to $58.00 USD a day with a $0.58 USD fee for mileage. In Canada, existing members can now book a Zipcar ranging from CAD $7.00 to 8.25 an hour and from CAD $48.00 to $58.00 a day with a CAD $.58 CAD per kilometer.
Zipcar is here for our members and helping to make short, local trips – like a quick run to a nearby grocery store – less expensive in this time of need.
