As an essential transportation service provider meeting evolving necessary transportation needs during the coronavirus crisis, Zipcar, the world’s leading car-sharing network, today announced it is expanding Dedicated Zipcar, an option that provides members the exclusive use of a vehicle Monday through Friday for approved uses of transportation. Due to the increasing demand for affordable access to the same car during this unprecedented time, Dedicated Zipcar is expanding in current cities and launching in several new ones. Zipcar is committed to continuing to help people to conduct essential and necessary travel, with on-demand access to vehicles by the hour, day, or week in convenient urban locations with gas, insurance and parking included with each reservation.

Due to increasing demand from cities nationwide, Zipcar is allocating more of its fleet to Dedicated Zipcar. Aiming to reduce the burdens of car ownership, Dedicated Zipcar provides exclusive access to a dedicated vehicle Monday through Friday with parking, gas, insurance and regular maintenance included in the monthly cost.

Dedicated Zipcar options are currently available in Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, DC, New York, Philadelphia, Portland, San Francisco, Seattle, and Toronto. Dedicated Zipcar is launching in several new cities, including Atlanta, Austin, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Pittsburgh, Providence, Sacramento, and San Diego.
